Nursing Syllabus (60 Marks)

This is the core section of the examination. Candidates must have a strong command of the subjects studied during their B.Sc. Nursing or GNM course.

  • Fundamentals of Nursing: Nursing as a profession, maintenance of therapeutic environment, nursing process, health assessment, vital signs, first aid.
  • Medical-Surgical Nursing: Management of patients with respiratory, cardiovascular, neurological, renal, and gastrointestinal disorders.
  • Community Health Nursing: Concepts of community health, health promotion, epidemiology, family welfare, national health programs.
  • Midwifery and Obstetrical Nursing: Antenatal, intranatal, and postnatal care; management of normal and high-risk pregnancies.
  • Pediatric Nursing: Care of newborns and children, growth and development, management of common childhood diseases, immunization.
