Syllabus DSSSB PGT 2026 post wise and Exam Pattern

The Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) conducts the Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) exam to recruit eligible candidates for teaching positions in various government schools in Delhi. Aspiring candidates must be well-versed with the DSSSB PGT syllabus and exam pattern to ensure a successful preparation strategy. The DSSSB PGT exam is a two-tiered process consisting of:

1. Written Exam

The written exam is divided into two sections:

  • Tier-I: Preliminary Test (Objective Type)
  • Tier-II: Main Exam (Objective Type)

Tier-I Exam:

  • Type: Objective Type (MCQs)
  • Total Marks: 100
  • Duration: 2 hours
  • Sections:
    1. General Awareness: Questions on current affairs, history, geography, and polity.
    2. General Intelligence & Reasoning Ability: Logical reasoning, pattern recognition, and verbal/non-verbal reasoning.
    3. Arithmetical & Numerical Ability: Basic mathematics, number series, algebra, etc.
    4. English Language and Comprehension: Grammar, vocabulary, sentence structure, and reading comprehension.

Tier-II Exam:

  • Type: Objective Type (MCQs)
  • Total Marks: 200
  • Duration: 2 hours
  • Sections:
    1. Subject Knowledge: Questions related to the candidate’s specific subject of teaching (e.g., Physics, Chemistry, Maths, etc.).
    2. Pedagogy and Teaching Methodology: Understanding of teaching principles, classroom management, and educational psychology.

2. Skill Test (if applicable)

Some posts may require candidates to undergo a skill test to assess their practical knowledge of the subject matter.
