• At least 3 years of teaching experience of teaching primary classes would be desirable but not mandatory.

Our first set of schools began operations in mid-2012 and are located in the following states (districts): Uttrakhand (Uddhamsinghnagar, Uttarkashi), Rajasthan (Tonk, Sirohi), Karnataka (Yadgir) and Chattisgarh (Dhamtari).

We see our schools as places where a child can be herself; a place that is her “own;” where she can enjoy and challenge herself; a place where she is safe, cherished and valued.

We hope to start a process of learning which our children can possibly continue for the rest of their lives.

Our schools:

• focus on children from disadvantaged backgrounds

• will eventually serve children between 3 and 18 years of age from pre-school to Class 12

• are affiliated to State Boards of Education

• have the state language as the medium of instruction – students will also learn English

• focus on health and nutrition as a critical input

• are free of cost for our students
