More than 6000 Group C Lower Division Assistant (LDA) has recently been recruited in Secretariat, Director and Regional level government offices through Public Service Commission. 10 per cent of the total vacancies of LDA in Government offices were filled up on the basis of promotion of Group D staff. As LDA vacancies are relatively high, employees with sufficient educational qualification get promotion to Group D posts. Employees get promotion if they have passed secondary school and three years of work experience. Group D employees appointed through the newly formed commission are also expected to get promotion to Group C posts soon.
