Indian Army TGC 139 Training Period

Technical Graduate Course (TGC 139) which is commencing in July 2024 at Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun

(a) Selected candidates will be detailed for training at Indian Military Academy,
Dehradun according to their position in the final order of merit (engineering stream-wise)
upto the number of available vacancies and subject to meeting all eligibility criteria.
(b) Duration of training – 49 week

Basic salary INR 56100 – INR 177500
– Per month, salary in hand will be 2x of basic salary* including allowances Indian Army gives best (in the market) salary for 2024 Technical Graduate Course Recruitment. Stage 2: SSB Interview

SSB Interview conducted over 5 days in Stage 2 of the Indian Army Technical Graduate Course TGC 139 selection process. A detailed description of each test can be found in the space mentioned below:

Stage 2A: Screening

The screening is the first stage of the SSB Interview in which the potential of the candidates is judged based on the following tests:

• Verbal and Non-Verbal Tests
• PPDT

Stage 2B: Psychological Test

The second stage of the SSB Interview is a Psychological test in which the mental prowess of the candidate is checked, the different stages of the same include:

• Thematic Apperception Test [TAT]
• Word Association Test [WAT]
• Situation Reaction Test [SRT]
• Self Description Test [SD]

Stage 2C: GTO

The GTO (Group Testing Office) is the third round and it is the most difficult stage of all. It is designed in a way that candidates’ mental as well as physical strengths are checked at the same time. This stage comprises 9 different tasks and each has its significance.

Stage 2D: Personal Interview

This Personal Interview judge the overall knowledge of the candidates regarding the different subjects i.e. General Knowledge, Science, major happenings around the world. However, it is not that easy to clear the Interview round as it involves the candidates being mentally fit and attentive during the Interview round.

Stage 2E: Conference

This is the last round of the TGC 139 SSB Interview is very simple and checks if the candidate qualifies for all the checks mentioned for the final round.
