- 10+2 (50 %) with two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed), or
- 10+2 (45 %) with two-year D.El.Ed as per NCTE 2002, or
- 10+2 (50 %) with four-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed), or
- 10+2 (50 %) with two-year Diploma in Education–Special Education, or
- Graduation with two-year D.El.Ed.
Candidates must additionally have passed CTET-Paper I and studied Hindi/Urdu/Punjabi/English at secondary level.
