Educational Qualification

Candidates must have passed the 10th class and should have a valid driving license for Light Motor Vehicles (LMV). Additionally, candidates must hold a valid LMV driving license and have at least 1 year of driving experience.

Essential Requirements:

• Matriculation (10th pass) from a recognized Board of Education
• Possession of a valid driving license for Motor Cars (LMV) issued by the competent authority
• Knowledge of Motor Mechanism (The candidate should be able to remove minor defects in the vehicle)
• Experience of driving a Motor Car for at least one year after obtaining a valid driving license
• Possession of a domicile certificate of that State against which the candidate has applied

Desirable Requirements:

• Possession of a valid driving license for a Motorcycle issued by the competent authority

Age Limit Details

The age limit for applicants is 18 to 27 years, as on 28th September 2025. Relaxations in the upper age limit are available for candidates belonging to reserved categories and certain special groups as per government rules.

Age Relaxation:

• SC/ST candidates get a relaxation of 5 years, while OBC candidates are entitled to 3 years of relaxation
• Departmental candidates working as Central Government civilian employees with at least 3 years of continuous service can apply up to the age of 40 years
• In case of widows, divorced women, and women judicially separated from their husbands (not remarried), the maximum age limit is relaxed as follows: UR: up to 35 years, OBC: up to 38 years, SC/ST: up to 40 years

Salary Details

The salary is as per Pay Level-3 of the 7th Pay Commission, which ranges from ₹21,700 to ₹69,100. Selected candidates will receive a Special Security Allowance (SSA) of 20% of basic pay, which makes the salary package more rewarding compared to other similar Group ‘C’ posts.
