  • For Army Wing of the National Defence Academy: Candidates must have passed the 10+2 scheme of School Education or an equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
  • For Air Force and Naval Wings and the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme of Indian Naval Academy: Candidates must have passed the 12th Class examination or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
  • Candidates appearing for their 12th Class examination or equivalent are also eligible to apply, provided they submit proof of passing the examination by the stipulated date.

3. Age Limit

The age criteria are strictly defined by the UPSC:

  • NDA 1 2026: Candidates must be born not earlier than July 2, 2007, and not later than July 1, 2010.
  • NDA 2 2026: Candidates must be born not earlier than January 2, 2008, and not later than July 1, 2010.
