Educational Qualification, Age Limit, and Salary

Educational Qualification:

  • Polytechnic Lecturers: B.E./B.Tech or M.Sc in the relevant engineering or science discipline.

  • Junior Lecturers: Postgraduate degree with a minimum of 50% marks along with B.Ed. Language teachers do not require B.Ed.

  • Degree Lecturers: Master’s degree with NET in the relevant subject.

  • TTD Colleges: Same qualifications as corresponding posts in Government Colleges.

Age Limit:

  • Minimum: 18 years

  • Maximum: 42 years (as of July 1, 2025)

  • Relaxation:

    • SC/ST/BC/EWS: 5 years

    • PwBD: 10 years

    • Ex-Servicemen: 3 years plus service

    • AP Govt employees: 5 years

Salary:

  • All lecturer positions carry a salary in the range of ₹56,100 – ₹98,400 per month depending on the pay scale of the institution and subject.


Syllabus and Exam Pattern

Exam Structure:

  • Mode: Computer-Based Test (CBT)

  • Paper I: General Studies & Mental Ability (150 marks – 150 mins)

  • Paper II: Subject-specific (150 marks – 150 mins)

  • Total Marks: 300

  • Questions: Objective type, multiple choice

General Studies Topics:

  • Current affairs

  • Indian history, polity, geography, economy

  • Mental ability and reasoning

  • Environmental and disaster management topics

Subject Paper:

  • Based on post-graduate syllabus of relevant subject.
